Escape room games offer a different kind of group activity than your typical movie or game night.
Based off of escape-the-room video games, players use clues hidden within the room to try to get out within the allotted time. Geared for children ages 12 and older, escape rooms are a great way to put the phone down for an hour and work together as a team to solve the puzzles.
Some venues even offer birthday parties, which is something to consider for teenagers who still want to have a party without it feeling "childish."
We recommend looking through the websites to see the themes of the rooms, prices, and to make reservations. Here is a list of escape rooms in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester County, Rockland County, Bergen County, Nassau County, and Suffolk County.
